VERY TASTY CUSTARD

p1050486

My husband admits that I had spoiled his by daily goodies 😉 We have an agreement: at my request, he estimates my dishes, the highest score is 10. Usually, if he likes something, he can say 12, 15. A couple of times a year it was 20. But to this cream he gave all 50!

Ingredients: 2 cups of milk, 100 ml heavy cream, 6 egg yolks, 1 tablespoon vanilla extract or sugar, 1 / 4- 1/3 cup of sugar, 1 tablespoon of corn starch, 1 tablespoon of flour.

Heat the milk until it comes just up to the boil. Pour the milk slowly with stirring (important!) in the mixture of other ingredients. Return the mixture to the stove (better on low heat) and stir until the mixture begins to thicken.

For a pudding serve hot or cold, in a trifle put cooled.

Also my husband liked a lot my cake with the layer of the custard. The cream is thick enough and does not require some addition of butter.

But if you want you can add 50-110 grams (1/2-1 stick) of softened butter and then whisk.
